Miss Universe Rejects Trump’s Advice To Share Her Crown With Miss Colombia

Despite Donald Trump’s advice regarding the Miss Universe fiasco, current Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, will not share her crown with Miss Colombia.

Current Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach was not able to immediately wear her crown, due to Steve Harvey’s momentous mistake of calling out Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner of the pageant. The Latin beauty was already wearing the crown and sash when Harvey had to scuffle back on stage and apologize for his gaffe, he then called Miss Philippines (Pia) as the real winner.

By then it was suitably awkward for both ladies as each stood on stage not knowing what to do. Former Miss Universe Paulina Vega then took charge as she stood between them, taking the crown from Miss Colombia’s head and placed it on Miss Philippines. It was the most cringe-worthy coronation in beauty pageant history!

Former Miss Universe owner and billionaire Donald Trump, who had to let the pageant go due to controversy over his stance on Mexican immigrants, then made the suggestion that perhaps it may be best that the two share the crown.

For her part, Ariadna Gutierrez concurred with him,  saying “for the first time, I agree with him” in an interiew in Colombia’s W radio.

For her first television interview Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach talked to Lara Spencer of Good Morning America , and gave her answer to Trump’s suggestion.

“I think it would be a little bit difficult for two girls to share the crown.” Wurtzbach said. But what about Miss Colombia?

“I understand how she feels, I’m also concerned with her. I think she’ll have lot of other opportunities..she’ll do very well, I’m sure”, she said, then she went on to add that she greeted Ariadna on her birthday at Christmas.

When asked about the vocal supporters of Miss Colombia who have been criticizing her on social media, Pia had this to say: “Well I understand how they feel because, of course they want their bet to win, that is completely understandable if it was the other way around, I’m sure the Filipinos would feel a little bit disappointed with the result”.
