Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. Spin-Off ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’ Gets Pilot Pick Up

It’s taken some time, but the AOS spin-off starring Adrienne Palicki’s Mockingbird titled Marvel’s Most Wanted has officially received a pilot pick up.

After lots of um’ing and ah-ing over whether the not the planned Mockingbird spin off to Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. will go ahead, it has FINALLY been confirmed that the Adrianne Palicki led programme will happen.

The show was scrapped and resurrected late last year, but this official confirmation has given Palicki and her co-stars something to smile about.

Variety posted on Twitter that ABC have ordered a pilot for the show titled Marvel’s Most Wanted, the lead stars of which will be Palicki (Mockingbird) and her hubby Lance Hunter (Nick Blood) and within a matter of minutes, further confirmation quickly appeared on social media.

Although few specific details about MMW have yet to be released, previous information released to the press stated that:

“Insiders say the series is not a spinoff, per se, but rather an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. Though plot details are scarce at this point, ‘Marvel’s Most Wanted’ will follow the pair and their adventures together.”

Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., starring Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennett, Ming-Na Wen, Brett Dalton, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Henry Simmons, along with a further regular cast including Luke Mitchell,

now in its third season, is proving a huge hit with viewers in the US.

The show also premieres in the UK tonight, so hopes are undoubtedly high that the spin-off will achieve similar success, with the pilot hopefully impressing enough for a full series pick up.

The pilot already has some strong support with AOS producers Jeffrey Bell and Paul Zbyszewski co-writing the script which ABC President Paul Lee declared was:

“really good.”
