‘As Told By Ginger’ Reportedly Being Revived By Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon is bringing back beloved TV show As Told By Ginger, and we can hear ’90s kids all over the world screaming in delight. Seriously.

The grass may just have gotten a lot greener.

Nickelodeon has been blessing us ’90s babies within the last few months, first reviving our favorite shows with a television block called Splat!, and then announcing a Hey Arnold!

movie

is in the works.

Hold your breath for this latest (reported) announcement…(as if you haven’t already read the title, right?)

As Told By Ginger is returning to television, according to MoviePilot! Emily Kapnek,

original

creator of the preteen animated series, is working alongside Nickelodeon as we speak. She’s executive producer, and will be leading the team of writers involved. *sighs happily*

The show, if you were deprived as a child or are currently a preteen and have to suffer through the awful programming that has replaced ’90s Nickelodeon over the past few years (sorry, not sorry), As Told By Ginger follows Ginger as she navigates her way through the worst years of one’s life–middle school. Shudder.

The continuation will pick up where season 3 ended, chronicling the journey of Ginger and her friends (and enemies) as they transition into high school. She records everything in her diary at the end of the day (didn’t we all?).

The team behind it all are apparently planning to make some “tweaks” so that the show stays relevant for a newer generation (this could be great or absolutely terrible, but we’ll see…).

As Told By Ginger will debut in 2017.
