After covering iZombie’s beloved zombie heroine, Olivia ‘Liv’ Moore, and our favorite Brit, Dr. Ravi, we figured it’s about time we talk about Major Lilywhite, who happens to be a fan favorite and ours, too. Having grown from a side, sad character to one of the most important persons of interest in this season, undoubtedly Major is having quite the character development. Even with his current double life (kudos to fooling the unfoolable owner of Max Rager), Major deserves major (pun intended) love, just like the others. Here are our top three reasons why we love him.
1. James Bond anyone?
Okay, he’s not exactly James Bond, but he comes somewhat close. Not only is he physically attractive, he’s got the wit to match. Oh, and an attractive lady, aka Liv. With his take on the friendship bracelet, we have to admit, that was some cool spy stuff.
2. He’s basically us
If you’ve been a loyal fan or a newbie, you’ve noticed that he’s one heck of a relatable character. Remember when Liv broke his heart not once, but twice? What about the many times he’s strayed off the morally good path (i.e. drug addictions and a fling with a certain red-haired vixen)? Does this remind you on anything you might have done in the past?
We have.
Having that kind of character in a television series makes it even more meaningful in our opinion.
Oh, and don’t forget the loving bromance he and Ravi have.
3. Kindness is indeed a virtue
He literally has a major heart of gold (pun intended… again). From the first season, he worked as social worker and was seen helping out troubled teens; this was a prominet theme in iZombie’s first season. When he persistently searched for Jerome, one of the teens who went missing, it became clearer – if not already – that Major has one of the kindest hearts in the popular CW show. This trait prevails in the current season when he refuses to give up on Liv, his on and off girlfriend/ex fiancee and when he took in that adorable dog for a while. Stay strong, Major. We gotchu.
Stay tuned for more iZombie goodness, PopWrappers!
