Indie Horror Film ‘Southbound’ Gets Home Video Release

Sony Pictures will soon release the indie horror film Southbound on DVD and Blu-Ray on May 17th, check out the trailer and prepare for a new horror

Many of the talented and twisted minds behind the indie horror film V/H/S have a new project on its way to DVD and Blu-Ray soon, titled Southbound. Similar to V/H/S, Southbound will feature multiple short segments to create a film of multiple perspectives with connected stories. The movie will be receive a home video release on May 17th and features the directors Radio Silence (The Way Out & The Way In), Roxanne Benjamin (Siren), David Bruckner (The Accident) and Patrick Horvath (Jailbreak). Southbound previously had a limited release in February and has earned a Rotten Tomatoes approval rating of 82%, signifying that the genre magic was captured in at least some capacity.

The official synopsis for Southbound describes the indie horror flick as: “On a desolate stretch of desert highway, weary travelers – two men on the run from their past, a band on their way to the next gig, a man struggling to get home, a brother in search of his long-lost sister and a family on vacation – are forced to confront their worst fears and darkest secrets in a series of interwoven tales of terror and remorse on the open road.”

Southbound looks like it will bring plenty of scares and entertainment for true horror fans – and if you haven’t checked out V/H/S just yet, you might want to check it out on Netflix, it’s a film you won’t forget! Watch the official trailer for Southbound below in anticipation of the upcoming release on DVD and Blu-Ray in May!
