The Upcoming Horror Film ‘Lights Out’ Debuts A Chilling Trailer

The horror film ‘Lights Out’ has received the first official trailer that is sure to spook even the pickiest of horror movie fans.

July can’t come soon enough!

The upcoming film Lights Out revealed the first official trailer for the James Wan produced horror flick, proving that a fear of the dark is a valid threat from the unknown. The film is written and directed by David F. Sandberg, who additionally created the two minute short that inspired a larger scale cinematic adaptation. In the trailer for Lights Out, we see the slender and supernatural looking silhouette of a woman stalking fearful family – appearing in the shadowed corners of rooms. The film looks like it will be very similar to the short, expanding on a backstory for the ominous figure and what she hopes to gain from the terrified (potential) victims. Thankfully, Sandberg announced on social media that the first teaser doesn’t spoil much with the hopes of startling moviegoers firsthand.

Lights Out looks as if it will utilize consistent jump scares and anxiety from the darkness that could make the film a much needed refresher for the horror genre. The Sandberg film will star Teresa Palmer, Lotta Losten, Gabriel Bateman, and Alexander DiPersia as the main cast and will arrive to theatres worldwide on July 22. Watch the trailer for Lights Out below and prepare yourselves for the certain horrors that will make you want to keep your lights on all night long.
