Rachel Taylor is the front woman for alt/rock group She Is We, and her voice is haunting and stunning. The album War dropped on March 18th to amazing response and a number 15 on Billboard’s Top New Artist Chart. The album also debuted in the top 10 on the iTunes Alternative Album Chart, which is huge for a new artist, and the music explains itself.

War has a really great sound and powerful lyrics. The first two songs, ‘Boomerang’ and ‘Monster,’ are fast paced and fun while the third, ‘Better Now,’ slows down the tempo and lets Taylor’s vocals shine. The tempo stays chill for ‘Crazy Heart,’ which is one of our favorites, before breaking out in the chorus. We’d have to say that ‘Blue’ is our absolute favorite out of the 11 songs on the album. It has heart and soul and a very catchy, fun-to-sing chorus.
Check out the video for the lead single ‘Boomerang,’ which premiered to critical acclaim! The video starts out simple with Rachel on an all-white background singing the song. When the song gets intense, she begins throwing paint all over and the video fills with color.
