Elizabeth Warren Wants To Teach Defense Against The Dark Arts At Ilvermorny

Elizabeth Warren tweets J.K. Rowling about becoming the next Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Elizabeth Warren wants to become the next Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. At least, that’s what her tweet to magical author JK Rowling said.

Sadly, according to JK Rowling’s history of Ilvermorny on Pottermore, the school already has a full time professor for DADA in Isolt and James’ youngest daughter, Rionach. But perhaps Warren could fill in from time to time. After all, she is already fighting the dark forces of Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

It really isn’t that far of a stretch.

As far as allies go, Warren and Rowling are birds of a feather. Rowling has also spoken out against Trump’s character in her writings on the EU referendum.

“Look towards the Republican Party in America and shudder. ‘Make America Great Again!’ cries a man who is fascist in all but name,” she wrote. “His stubby fingers are currently within horrifyingly close reach of America’s nuclear codes. He achieved this pre-eminence by proposing crude, unworkable solutions to complex threats. Terrorism? ‘Ban all Muslims!’ Immigration? ‘Build a wall!’ He has the temperament of an unstable nightclub bouncer, jeers at violence when it breaks out at his rallies and wears his disdain for women and minorities with pride. God help America. God help us all.”

Rowling also tweeted that “Voldemort was nowhere near as bad” as Trump.

Now that’s saying something. If someone can overshadow the darkest wizard of all time, then we’re in trouble.

But we already knew that.

Elizabeth Warren has joined Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, openly campaigning for equality and open-mindedness. She is also on Clinton’s “shortlist for vice president.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think she can hold both positions. But if she does become VP, it will be good to know we have a wizarding world ally in the White House!
