As we’re sure you’ve all heard, PokemonGo is revolutionizing the mobile phone game world. If you didn’t spend you’re entire weekend playing it then read on for when you catch the bug like the rest of us. The basis of this game is that you are the Pokemon trainer and you have to catch them all.
How do you catch them all? This is the crazy part. You can’t sit in your bed or on your couch to catch them but instead you have to go outside and walk around. After spending the better part of our weekend hunting for rare Pokemon, we’ve compiled a few helpful tips to keep you out of trouble.
Do: Go outside and meet up with fellow Pokemon trainers to compare and catch more Pokemon.
Don’t: Drive and catch Pokemon. We tried and it is way harder than texting and driving so just don’t do it. Yes, it is possible, but not smart.
Do: Wear appropriate walking shoes because sometimes your journey will take you to a location where hiking is the acceptable way to travel and flip flops aren’t great.
Don’t: Walk too close to your neighbor’s houses to catch Pokemon unless they have specified that they are ok with it. It can come across as creepy.
Do: Celebrate your victories in the game.
Don’t: Drive through traffic heavy parking lots trying to catch Pokemon. The people walking are trying to do the same thing and that means no one is paying attention and someone could get hurt.
Don’t: Use PokemonGo to lure people into creepy things. Let the millennials get their exercise they’ve been tricked into in peace.
