This past weekend at San Diego Comic Con the first-look trailer for DC’s Legends of Tomorrow was released, and there was quite a lot that we learned from the trailer.

The trailer opens with a mix of clips from season one. The dialogue definitely gives viewers a good sense of where the Legends were and where they are going to be.

We see the beginning of a new mission after the Time Masters have been dismantled, but that leaves no one to keep the path of history moving in the correct direction.  The team will have to double down their travel adventures to fix the time line.

One major thing we do see in the trailer is the team wanting to step up and stop New York from being blown up in WW II. (Legends V. Nazis, you take your pick on who will win)

With new missions we meet new people.  This season the legends are scheduled to meet Rex Tyler, who is part of the Justice Society of America (which will be the precursor to the Justice League). Rumor has it that the interaction will be a huge part of the upcoming season. Another familiar face seen in the trailer was one Damien Darke. Darke was the main villain from season four of Arrow, so its going to be interesting to see what direction they go with him on Legends of Tomorrow.

No sight of Hawkgirl and Hawkman in the trailer but don’t give them the axe just yet. It is only the beginning of the promotional campaign, and they may still make an appearance.

Don’t forget to catch the season two of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow when it premieres Thursday October 13th on The CW Network.
