The protagonist, a Chinese gunslinger, is an ex-con looking to reunite with his wife, dealing with magic, racism, and a persistent woman with a magic sword. The preview art for this unique new series looks stunning and the premise is incredibly intriguing.

Hedy Wolfe enlists two of Patsy’s evil exes in an attempt to win the feud raging between the two women. It’s up to Patsy and her friends to figure out how to ensure the evil due doesn’t cause havoc to Patsy’s new life. This is a terrific series, with an intro page so well done that you can almost pick up any issue and know where you are in the story. Definitely worth spending your hard earned cash on this week.

North handles heavy topics and light ones with ease, and never strays too far from humour. The footnotes on each page alone are worth the cost of the book. This is a standalone issue, exploring Squirrel Girl’s major – computer science. The solicit promises that by the end of the issue you’ll see Squirrel Girl take down Count Nefaria and know some of the fundamentals of computer science. Education and entertainment?! Definitely worth grabbing this week.
