Game of Thrones is currently the biggest show on television; no other TV series on air has both its record-breaking number of Emmy wins coupled with its off the chart ratings.
So it is no surprise that even the star of one of the biggest film franchises of all time would want to hop in and make an appearance on the show.
Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame has made it known that he would love to appear in HBO’s top-rated fantasy show — a statement that would be music to the ears of fantasy geeks all over the world.
If this comes to fruition, he’ll be following in the footsteps of other Harry Potter alumni who have stepped into Westeros.
Before him, Michelle Fairley, who briefly appeared as Hermione Granger’s mother in The Deathly Hallows Part One, played the important part of Catelyn Stark. Then there is David Bradley, who portrayed Hogwarts caretaker Filch but took a more sinister turn as Walder Frey. And, of course, there is Natalia Tena, who played Tonks in Harry Potter and became loyal Stark servant, Osha, in Games of Thrones.
These three are no longer in Game Of Thrones, since each of their respectable characters have gone on to meet a grisly end, but it does seem that dying in Game Of Thrones is what Daniel is aiming for.
Speaking to Digital Spy, the actor seemed delighted with the idea:
“If they want to just bring me in and f**king kill me, I would be so happy to do that,” he said.
Please HBO!: make this happen in the name of the old Gods and the new. After all, major celebrity cameos have happened before, and the show does employ a lot of famous British actors who were already established before they were cast in the series. Just imagine the possibilities!
