Tiger Woods has been in the tabloids (not to mention the news) since his arrest, but another celebrity has also been booked.
While it’s no secret that substance abuse is a common theme among celebrities, people often forget that the sports industry can be even worse than Hollywood. Woods was medicated to the max on who knows how many pills, but he was on enough to nod off at the wheel. However, he’s not the only man with a potential drug problem.
Since Dallas Cowboys player Nolan Carroll was drunk driving, he was charged with a DWI. “A Dallas police officer pulled Carroll over about 2:15 a.m. for a traffic violation in the 2200 block of McKinney Avenue, near North Pearl Street. He was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated,” an article states. The cornerback’s one of the hottest football stars of 2017; he’s so talented that he even scored a ten-million dollar contract. However, his career could be on the line now.
Woods was at the top of his game before he cheated on his wife, got a divorce, and underwent surgeries aplenty. Now, the golfer’s got a mug shot and rap sheet. If Carroll’s not careful, he could easily fall down the same rabbit hole. Unfortunately, Carroll could’ve prevented his fall from grace. “The team offers free Uber rides to players who think they may not be able to drive safely,” the article continues.
Carroll had safer options, but he chose a riskier route. He could’ve lost everything, so why was he so careless? According to a report, the 30-year-old man might’ve been celebrating his win at a club. “Sidebar, an Uptown club near where Carroll was arrested, was having what promoted as a ‘Welcome to Dallas Celebration’ for him,” the article states. Regardless of the situation or circumstance, he should take his arrest as a wake-up call.
Otherwise, he could be the football version of Woods.
