After a long battle to gain her own freedom, Kesha has made a jump forward with the release of her new song “Praying.” The song debuted earlier this week and it’s a power ballad like no other! We listened to it on repeat for the majority of the day. Kesha’s vocals are so impressive and you can hear her victory throughout the track. Take a look at some of the lyrics.

Along with the release of her definite hit “Praying,” Kesha also announced her upcoming album which will be her first in five years. The album, set to drop on August 11, is titled Rainbow. “Praying” was co-written with Macklemore and Ryan Lewis which may be just enough to bring this song right into the top ten.
“Praying” is a message of hope and a roar of strength for Kesha. While Kesha never mentions music producer Dr. Luke by name (which is a very classy way to get your revenge!), we assume the song is a reference to the artist’s recent struggles with rights issues and the lawsuit that followed. Inadvertently, the absence of specific details leaves the song open to anyone who is struggling.
