Get ready, Swifties, because Taylor Swift is back on the music scene with a new album. It’s been three years since 1989 came out, and since then, she’s toured around the world, won lawsuits, and more. But music is at her core and fans are so excited for her new album, set to be released November 10th, called Reputation.
How Taylor announced this album
A few days ago, all of Swift’s social media profiles went blank. All tweets, images, and information just…gone. Of course, this only happens when a celebrity either gets so fed up with social media that they quit, or when they’re about to release something new. Luckily, it’s the latter in this case. A few days after the wipe, a rather odd video of a snake was put out on her platforms.

What does it mean? No one knew. But even snakes are better than nothing, right?
Finally today, after a few days of snakes, we get the big info. Not only do we get an album title and release date, but we get a new Taylor picture, and news that her first new single will be out tomorrow night.

What should we expect from Reputation?
Excitement aside, let’s discuss this. First of all, that black with the white gothic font is a new look for this once-country sweet singer. Will we be getting an edgier Taylor now? Will this album have a parental advisory warning? Drama and press nonsense aside, she’s always been a pretty ‘good girl’ so I personally think there’s nothing to be too worried about here. I can’t image she’s changed too much. This is just a new feel for a new album.
As for the title, it’s fitting. In these last few years, Taylor Swift has a lot of people trying to ruin her reputation. From her apparent feud with Katy Perry to her sexual harassment countersuit to her dating life, she’s constantly in the media and not necessarily in a great light. Whether she’s always on the right side or not, her reputation has been though a lot. Maybe this upcoming album is her fighting back and speaking out through her music.
