Freeform is kicking off the new year with new TV shows and laughs, as well as some returning fan favourites. Freeforms brings back Beyond and The Fosters, and adds new shows Grown-ish and Alone Together to their weekly line up! 

Grown-ish

Brought to you by the same executive producer as ABC’s Black-ish comes Grown-ish. Grown-ish is a comedy series spinoff that follows the trials and tribulations of Zoey, played by Yara Shahidi. The show will follow her as she heads off to her freshman year of college. Joining the series are also stars Francia Raisa, Trevor Jackson, Jordan Buhat, Emily Arlook, Deon Cole, and Chris Parnell. 

Grown-ish will have a double feature premiere on January 3rd at 8:00 p.m EST. You can catch Grown-ish every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m EST on Freeform. 

Alone Together

Alone Together was written by our favorite musical group The Lonely Island, Akiva Schaffer, Andy Samberg, and Jorma Taccone. It is no wonder that it stars two comedians Esther Povitsky, from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Benji Afalo, from Not Safe with Nikki Glaser. The show follows these two millenial outcasts as try to find their way through the social climbing society of Los Angeles. 

Alone Together premieres on January 10th at 8:30 p.m EST and will be following Grown-ish at this time on a weekly basis. Wednesday’s on Freeform are looking good. 

The Fosters

The Fosters return for the second part of their fifth season in January. This series follows the Foster family, moms Stef and Lena and all of their children, in their San Diego suburb. This season the show will also be celebrating its 100th episode on March 13th.

The Fosters will be airing January 9th at 8:00 p.m EST and on every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m on Freeform. 

Beyond

Returning back to Freeform for season 2 is Freeform supernatural drama Beyond. Beyond follows the life of Holden Matthews after he wakes up from a coma and discovers he has these special abilities that lead to a secret that can end up harming the people around him. 

Beyond returns on January 18th at 8:00 p.m EST in a two-hour premiere and will air regularly Thursdays at 8:00 p.m on Freeform.
