Details Of Game Of Thrones’ Episode 8 Opening Scene Has Been ‘Revealed’

Details about the upcoming opening scene of Game of Thrones Season 8 have been “revealed”.

We still have a long time to wait for the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones, but it isn't really surprising that fans are hungry for even the smallest details about what is arguably the biggest show in television right now. And you know what that means, leaks galore! (Warning potential spoilers ahead).

WatchersOnTheWall has recently gotten details from a source on what may be the opening location of the upcoming first episode. And it seems that it may not involve any of the major characters in the series.

And while Kit Harington was spotted arriving on set in Belfast, Ireland this January 17th, the source said that he was merely prepping for upcoming scenes. The show did film in Moneyglass at the estate in Toome which stands in as the set for the interior and exterior shots of Winterfell. But the opening scene of the upcoming season won't be set in the Castle courtyard or parapets but instead will be in Winter Town.

Winter Town is a village situated outside the Castle Walls, practically the civilian area, and it is also the place where people all over the North who couldn't endure the long winter would seek shelter.

With winter already in Westeros, expect that place to be filled with refugees. And to think the army of the dead are coming, that place may become a rife area for the Night King to pick up recruits.

Alleged leaks from the script that were released earlier indicate that this is bound to happen by episode 3. A scene is described where Tyrion, Podrick, Sansa, Brienne, Arya, and the Hound are in a wagon racing through a camp filled with wights. And it seems that even their fighting force has been compromised since one of the wights who jump into their wagon is described as Dothraki.

But that is the third episode; the opening may involve a tense atmosphere of people preparing for the worst. The minor characters may very well be leading the civilians on what they have to do or they may be hearing the dire news of whats to come. After all, the last scene we saw was the Night King destroying the wall with a dragon and his army marching forward.

But for now, we'll just have to wait to find out if these reports are true. Game Of Thrones Season 8 is set to air in 2019.
