Friday The 13th Game Gets A Trailer For Single Player Mode

The popular horror video game Friday the 13th will soon be adding a new mode that doesn’t require online functions or multiplayer.

It's Friday, so what better way to celebrate than a little exciting news about the popular horror franchise Friday the 13th?

The Friday the 13th game that released in May 2017 has picked up steam over the last several months, recieivng several updates and content to keep things fresh. As a fan funded game they had set up a slew of potential "goals" for the game and one of those was making a single player mode that didn't require being online with others. Though it hadn't hit the peak of their goals, it has given Gun Media a chance to take their time and work on developing new modes without feeling rushed to put out something that doesn't work.

After a lot of talk and speculation about the mode, Gun Media dropped the official gameplay teaser (more of an immersive experience to get a feel) for the single player option that will be free for anyone who already owns the game. We've already been given new maps, characters and perks but the idea of Friday the 13th continuing to expand should only mean even more opportunities for success. Check out the trailer above, and for more on the game the Steam description below offers an idea of what the game itself has to offer:

Friday the 13th: The Game is a third-person horror, survival game where players take on the role of a teen counselor, or for the first time ever, Jason Voorhees. You and six other unlucky souls will do everything possible to escape and survive while the most well-known killer in the world tracks you down and brutally slaughters you. Friday the 13th: The Game will strive to give every single player the tools to survive, escape or even try to take down the man who cannot be killed. Each and every gameplay session will give you an entirely new chance to prove if you have what it takes not only to survive, but to best the most prolific killer in cinema history, a slasher with more kills than any of his rivals!

Meanwhile, Jason will be given an array of abilities to track, hunt and kill his prey. Stalk from the shadows, scare your targets and kill them when the time is right in as brutal a fashion as you can imagine. Take control of the legendary killer that is Jason Voorhees and terrify those unfortunate enough to cross your path!

Friday the 13th is available now, so for those of you who might not want to take on others, you'll get to discover a new horror experience soon enough! Are you excited about the new mode?
