Trinidad born rapper, Nicki Minaj is visiting her hometown of Trinadad and Tobago this week for Carnival. During the visit, Minaj took time to listen to fans sing her music, supported them with life advice, and shortly after, she announced that she was going to gift US $25,000 to the St. Jude’s Home For Girls.
The Award Winning superstar Rapper also announced that she wants to have a building created where the children and teens of that area can go and have “Recreational Fun” and a place to learn and meet people.
“I’ve experienced being in a home with domestic violence” Nicki told those in attendence. “I’ve experienced being at a (you know) difficult cross roads in my life as a teenager. Sometimes as a teenager when things happen, you feel there’s no… no up from there”.
Nicki Minaj continues to inspire women and young girls all over the world and she surely isn’t slowing down anytime soon. “If you have to use my life as a lesson in the fact that there is always better days ahead”. Crowded outside by fans in the area, she took time to meet with a few of them.
This $25,000 USD translating to over $169,000 in Trinidad and Tobago dollar.
