I’m sure we’ve all spent an inordinate amount of time watching TV and streaming services over the past week, but it’s impossible to watch everything so here’s what you might have missed.

Westworld: Season 3 Premiere

The third season of Westworld premiered on HBO on Sunday. The new season takes place shortly after the events of the previous two seasons. However, they have completely reinvented how this show looks and feels. It feels like Black Mirror meets The Matrix. It also takes place in China, London, and Los Angeles. The first episode of the season introduces a few new things that we’ll likely be seeing more of including VR glasses and drug tabs. Aaron Paul (Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad) also joins the cast as Caleb. It was an action-packed adventure of a first episode so hopefully, that sets the tone for the rest of the season.

Legends of Tomorrow: Goodbye to Ray Palmer

Ray Palmer has been a fan favourite on Legends of Tomorrow. Ray tells Nora he thinks it’s time for them to leave the ship. Nora agrees and they tell the team. But Ray and Nora don’t leave without going on one final mission. They go back in time and find Shakespeare writing Romeo and Juliet but he can’t figure out how to end it. He doesn’t have his ring since he gave it to the producer in exchange for an extension on the script deadline. Ray realizes that Shakespeare can’t finish the play because he’s not ready to say goodbye to his characters, his friends. After Ray and Nate get the ring back, they throw Ray a belated bachelor party and get a little too drunk. Ray says goodbye to all his friends and realizes that “Endings are necessary for growth no matter how painful they may be.”

In a statement, Disney said it hopes to help by “surprising families with some fun and joy during this challenging period.” All of our favourite characters from the original film return for another adventure north. There are new songs, more girl power, and more beautiful animation.
