PREMIERE: Michael Wavves Goes “Deeper”, Shining A Light To Those Struggling With Anxiety With New Single

Pennsylvania born emerging artist, Michael Wavves is back with a hot new single. While working as a middle school teacher in his hometown, he is also working at one of his many dreams, music. After a breakout in music in 2015, Michael has quickly became an artist to watch.

Finding his inspiration in contemporary Hip-Hop artists including Kanye West, Drake, Lil Wayne, and Kid Cudi, along with crooners like Post Malone, The Weeknd, and Mike Posner; Wavves bends genres to create a smooth blend of melody-oriented hip-hop fused with an electronic vibe.

This combination of styles is accented with an energetic live show, of course when the worldwide pandemic is not going on, which Wavves built through grassroots touring after the release of his debut EP ‘Nights on Vine’ in 2018.

Also seeing success In 2019, he returned with the EP ‘Purple Heart,’ which debuted at #12 on the iTunes R&B charts. Adding to the list of the small successes that this middle school teacher with a music passion has. A true embodiment of chasing your goals, no matter what is going on in other aspects of your life.

After major collaborations with Sammy Adams & Hoober, Michael Wavves steps into the spotlight on an emotive solo single titled “Deeper” exploring his battle with mental health & achieving success over sad chords & a smooth down tempo beat. Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Witt Lowry, Mac Miller, & Drake he flows between heavy rapped lyrics & an R&B vocal tone flexing his versatility.

“I’ve always written music from an honest and authentic place. I’ve never tried to paint a picture of a life I don’t live, emotions I don’t feel, or put on some sort of ‘show’ through my music. I’ve never felt like there was any difference between Michael Wavves and Jordan (my real name), they’re one in the same.”

“…I’ve always been unapologetically me and tried to embrace everything for what it is, even the rough times. I think that is what really connects, resonates, and ultimately helps people through their struggles. I wrote ‘Deeper’ when I was in a pretty dark place. Full of self-doubt, frustration, loneliness, self-loathing, and just overall feeling like shit. And those feelings creep back in from time to time, I’m working on it :)”

“From the moment I made it I knew it was special, and I still get goosebumps when I listen to it. I think it cuts so deep because it perfectly communicates where I was at when I wrote it. It reminds me that sometimes it’s okay to not feel okay. We all have our shit: vices, weaknesses, things we don’t like about ourselves, addictions, etc. and I hope this song can be a source of strength and help you through those things. We are all going through it. Keep fighting.” – Micheal finished.

Anxiety is a never ending battle that a lot of us deal with, especially during this crazy ride we are all on with the COVID 19 Pandemic. In Deeper, Michael reassures us that we are not alone and our battles really are what we make of them and how we manage that anxiety and come out stronger is what matters the most. Easier said than done, but he reassures us that no matter the anxieties that we are facing – they can be worked through and we can continue to live a normal life and chase our dreams, while battling anxiety.

A lot is in store for Michael Wavves. & we are stoked to see what is next from this emerging artist. If you are looking forward to what is next from Michael, be sure to follow him on Twitter and Instagram. “Deeper” is available now on all major music streaming platforms.
