Music as a whole is a collaborative effort; from the song-writers and musicians to producers and engineers. And while there are many collaborative artists and groups around, there aren’t any like MTRSS. A music project that spans the globe and features the talents of musicians from Pacific Russia, New Zealand, the UK, Germany and the USA, MTRSS explores and showcases what happens when those with a passion and gift for music – artists and digital alchemists alike – come together to create what they describe as order from chaos and chaos from order, relying on the power and importance of humanity and expression and exploring both through sound. Their latest release, “Your Love”, which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere, features Ariel Fitz-Patrick of The Fitz-Patrick Sisters, Montreal’s version of Mary Mary.

The Fitz-Patrick sisters have already captivated audiences and critics alike with their impressive vocal talents and captivating performances, and Ariel will soon release her debut single as she branches out on her own. She says of creating the “Your Love” video: “Filming this music video was a great experience. We got to travel to Toronto and met some amazing people. Everyone on set had such a great energy and made the whole experience a memorable one. I was also excited when I found out that we were coming back home to Montreal to film some more scenes, which makes the video feel even more special. I’m so grateful for everyone who was involved in this project. From the minds behind the concept, to those who filmed, produced, danced, organized, and were involved in any possible way. This could have never been done without them and I’m happy that I got to be a part of it.”

The “Your Love” music video and concept were created and produced in collaboration with Day Job and LP/AD Toronto, who state: “’Your Love’ is about Ariel navigating the different types of relationships in her life with the people around her, and feeling an overwhelming sense of loneliness. Just when she feels that her hope for love is about to be lost, Ariel finds her faith restored in a higher power.

The video explores two worlds in parallel. One depicts the internal struggle that Ariel feels in her mind and the other is set in reality. The parts portraying reality are nostalgic, home movie style snippets of Ariel walking around in her hometown in Montreal. Her internal world is set inside a neutral toned room, with dancers surrounding her; their movements mimicking the emotions she feels. Throughout the video, we follow her on her journey toward empowerment and finding her own voice within her faith.”
