As always, we try to showcase the independent music that we are enjoying here at PopWrapped. Today, we’re putting Mooresville North Carolina’s Kayla Vega on your radar. Vega is an independent artist from North Carolina who has released a handful of tracks since diving into her passion for music, publicly.

Kayla just released her love inspired track, “I Promise This Promise” a track influenced a lot by her new relationship. Kayla who has put out a few tracks, has really grown since we were first introduced to her music in 2018 when she released her debut self titled EP, “Kayla Vega”.

Finding love for music at a young age, it was only since 2018 when she started to put out her passion to the world. Doing shows around her town, and playing gigs to raise money for many different causes – including several benefit concerts for a fallen officer who lost his life during a traffic stop in 2019.

Continuing her love for music, Vega takes her passion for music and she offers a since of love, hope and strength through her live shows – showing that, no matter what goes on in life, we can turn to music to bring light into the world in the darkest of times – wether it be personal struggle, etc, Vega truly shines in her artistry.

“I wrote I Promise This Promise for my boyfriend of 2+ years. Our relationship has been heavily affected by the pandemic, and this song is a gift to commemorate our first normal meeting after the last year of not seeing each other. I hope that partners of all ages could share this one thing in common with me. I understand the struggles of being away from a loved one for a long time and this song is for the ones who experience this and choose to still love.” Kayla told PopWrapped.
