Emerging Duo, goth gf composed of songwriter Zach DeGaetano and music director Carter Vaughan who met while playing drums + guitar for Tate McRae. 

Songwriter Zach DeGaetano & music director Carter Vaughan make up the moniker “goth gf,” a bedroom boy band from the West Coast who met playing guitar and drums for Billboard chart-topping artist Tate McRae.

The two discovered their shared desire to craft a new artist project, and immediately started writing together. Within a month, the duo completed the crush EP and released their first single xo in April. Claiming three New Music Fridays across the globe along with Apple Music’s Best Alternative playlist, goth gf has been immediately embraced by both listeners and industry, setting the stage for a prolific year. 

Though they haven’t been in the public eye for long, their music feels like they have been a long for decades – giving us insane production with stunning vocal stability and pairing it with beautiful song writing. They best describe their sound and themselves as a bedroom boyband duo.

“I’m going to bleach my hair, and get the F*k out of California”, they sing on the track.

They have only put out a few tracks since April, and already are reeling in a great amount of attention, gaining editorial support. No doubt the music that is to come is sure to launch this duo to be a household name. The duo is set to release an EP VERY soon which will feature this new track, “Bleach” as well as their April release, and several new songs for their audience.
