Dark Alliance Delivers For Dungeons and Dragons Fans

At a time when many campaigns are on hold, TTRPG gamers can get their fix online.

Dungeons and Dragons is arguably one of the most influential Table-Top Role Play Games of all time. The popular franchise has had lots of media attention in the past 10 years. Whether you’ve heard of DND from its influence in the 2016 Netflix show Stranger Things, or seen a game being played in real life, DND is beloved all over the world.

While the game is synonymous with nerd culture, the Wizards of the Coast franchise along with Tuque Games has been doing even more to make the game more accessible. In June 2021, Dark Alliance hit consoles and PC.

The reboot couldn’t come at a better time. Currently, it’s difficult to keep a consistent TTRPG campaign with The Pandemic. Dark Alliance gives players the ability to still join together in a fantasy world and have the human interaction that is synonymous with role-play games.

The party consists of the familiar characters from Baulder’s Gate; Drizzt the Drow Elf, Bruenor Battlehammer- the adoptive father of the Human Cattie-Brie and Wulfgar the Human-Barbarian- and continues the storyline of The Crystal Shard from the Icewind Dale series.

Cattie-Brie, Wulfgar, Bruenor Battlehammer, and Drizzt stand together.

Dark Alliance can be played either on single-player mode or co-op, which allows players to connect with friends they already know, or join a public server and make new ones.

Mahatmama plays a game with friends she met online.

Dark Alliance is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, and is currently on Xbox GamePass.
