Little Treblemakers Get Festive With “Marshmallow World”

Little Treblemakers are presenting their fifth annual Jingle Jam winter showcase next week and today PopWrapped are ringing in the start of their festive season by premiering their rendition of the Bing Crosby classic “Marshmallow World.” This new, indie-pop take on the track introduces one of the most loved festive songs of a generation to a whole new audience, delivering a version that stands underneath the mistletoe of contemporaries like Tennis, Cults, and Best Coast, and will no doubt get everyone feeling a little more Christmassy.

An Atlanta-based music education program, Little Treblemakers offers beginner guitar, ukulele, piano, drums, and introductory voice lessons suitable for every child and customized for all learning styles. Their philosophy of teaching emphasizes quality over pace and connectivity over deadlines; while lessons cater directly towards each student’s personal goals and interests. The program even partners with national and regional touring bands to participate in various ways, including Lunar Vacation, Nordista Freeze and Dinner Time among others.

“The pandemic really forced everyone to re-evaluate how to make meaningful connections without being in-person” says Sydney Ward, the founder of Little Treblemakers. “These special music videos have become part of our solution. Our semi-annual virtual events have since become a staple in how we share music in our community, and we hope they inspire and spark joy in young minds everywhere.”

The visuals for “Marshmallow World” were shot by Atlanta filmmaker Nic Huey with the audio recorded by Damon Moon at Standard Electric Recorders Co. The band itself features several members of the Peach State’s music scene, including the aforementioned Sydney Ward (Sydney Eloise & The Palms) alongside Anna Griffith and Tim Holder (bandanna), Hollis Griffin, and Andrew Barkau (Bathe Alone).
