Whilst the rest of the Whovian world is still coming to terms with the announcement of Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor, it looks like Jenna Coleman has taken an unauthorised trip in the TARDIS.
However things are not what they seem, the star was in York, England, filming Death Comes To Pemberley. The adaptation of the PD James penned sequel to the Jane Austen classic, stars The Americans Matthew Rhys as Mr Darcy. Coleman is playing Elizabeth’s wayward younger sister Lydia Wickham.
The three part series centers around a Murder Mystery at the iconic Derbyshire estate and takes place six years after the ending of Pride and Prejudice.
The cast also includes Penelope Keith, James Fleet and Anna Maxwell Martin as Elizabeth Darcy (nee Bennett). Filming is currently taking place in Yorkshire. As a massive Austenite, I have been uncertain around much of the casting for this adaptation. With these initial pictures, however, Coleman seems a good choice for the role.
Death Comes To Pemberley will be shown on BBC with no current air date as yet.
