Fans of the Ellen DeGeneres Show got a friendly surprise as Jennifer Aniston reunited with her co-stars Courtney Cox and Matthew Perry for a hysterical short.
The two-minute and 46-second clip showcased Aniston showing up on Matthew Perry’s doorstep looking for advice on how to co-host with the multiple Daytime Emmy winner. However, Perry icily stated that she should not have showed up at his doorstep at 8:00 a.m. unannounced.
The former Rachel Green defended herself and stated that they used to show up at their apartments unannounced all the time until Perry added that they only did it on their former show.
Things got real interesting around 1:25 when Ms. Cox dropped in on their conversation and stated “Lisa?” to her real life BFF. Cox then accused her former on-screen husband of sleeping with Aniston too as she “angrily” walked off the set. As soon as she was gone, Ellen and her wife, Portia De Rossi, tried to sneak off the screen before Aniston caught them.
Back on the show, Ellen asked the question on everyone’s mind: “You want to announce it (the reunion) here?”
While Aniston dodged the question and stated that she and two Friends co-stars “felt very nostalgic” when they filmed the piece, Friends co-creator David Crane shot down the idea of a possible reunion at Central Perk.
“I think the idea of a Friends reunion is a terrible idea,” said Crane, in a Good Morning America interview. “I think we finished it right.”
While fans may not be hearing “How you doin’?’” or ‘Smelly Cat’ any time in the future, they will definitely remember this mini get-together from The Ellen DeGeneres Show’s tenth season.
