If you’ve been following the Real Housewives of New Jersey saga, then you know that Teresa Giudice finally made up with brother Joe and wife Melissa after years of feuding during this weeks episode.
Teresa then went on Andy Cohen’s late night show Watch What Happens Live saying that she was happy and the families were in good places.
Well that didn’t last long.
News broke on Monday that Teresa and her husband Joe are facing a long list of charges.
When I say long it’s a whopping thirty-nine charges. Yes you read that right 39!
In a released statement from U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman: “The indictment returned today alleges the Guidices lied to the bankruptcy court, to the IRS and to a number of banks. Everyone has an obligation to tell the truth when dealing with the courts, paying their taxes and applying for loans or mortgages. That’s reality.”
Some of the charges state that couple lied about their income when applying for mortgages and other loans between 2001- 2008.
In 2009, the couple filed for bankruptcy. They are also accused of hiding businesses they owned and other forms of income they were earning from a number of sources, including Teresa’s true Real Housewives pay salary.
But of course Teresa released a statement: “Today is a most difficult day for our family. I support Joe and, as a wonderful husband and father, I know he wants only the best for our lovely daughters and me. I am committed to my family and intend to maintain our lives in the best way possible, which includes continuing my career. As a result, I am hopeful that we will resolve this matter with the government as soon as possible”.
Translation: Teresa REALLY doesn’t want to miss the opportunity to put on a new sparkly dress for the Real Housewives of New Jersey Reunion.
The infamous duo are expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
