Arrested Development show creator says the show will be returning in the future.
While in Montreal, Canada at the Just For Laughs Festival, Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz announced that the story will continue. The show was first on Fox and then turned into a Netflix series. However, there is a catch to this , it could come in the form of a movie.
Hurwitz explained, “I keep thinking about it, and why don’t we do the movie version of this and then do the series, because the series kinda peaks with the story?” He went on and said “I kind of go back and forth between that and a series. But here’s the most important thing, whatever we do, I want to get the cast all together and not of another anthology thing, and that’s why I keep thinking about kicking it off with a special or three-part show and then going into series.”
Netflix chief content Ted Sarandos has affirmed that they are game for another round no matter what form that took. The show which debuted it long-awaited fourth season in May of this year has earned three nominations for the 2013 Emmys, including Jason Bateman for Best Lead Actor in a Comedy.
What do you all think, would you like to see it as a film, series, or it doesn’t matter? No matter how the show comes fans will be sure to enjoy the show.
