Some fans were left upset when it was revealed that Skins would be airing its seventh and final series in the summer of 2013. Up until now, we’ve had no news regarding the airdate of the last series.
It has now been revealed by Channel 4, that sister company E4 will start showing the series in July, no specific date has been confirmed, so keep checking back here for the latest news regarding the show.
In case you’ve missed what the seventh series will consist of I’ll break it down, Skins S7 will consist of 3 (2 part) films, each part will be an hour long and each mini film will centre on a different character, we have:
Skins Pure:Hannah Murray will reprise her role as the eccentric, but loveable Cassie, she’ll be seen lonely and ‘lost’ in London, which means the cliff-hanger from the S2 finale has been resolved, and it seems Sid didn’t get his woman (unhappy face). She’ll also befriend a mysterious stranger… this sounds like a Cassie thing to do!
Skins Rise:In this two-parter, we’ll catch-up with the menacing Cook (played by Jack O’Connell) also meaning the S4 cliff-hanger has also been resolved and he must have defeated the evil ‘Dr. Foster’ who killed Freddie (I’m still not happy about that) Cook will be making a living as a drug peddler in Manchester, causing him to return to his violent ways!
Skins Fire:The third and final instalment of the series will belong to the ‘Queen Bee’ herself (No, not Beyoncé) Effy (Kaya Scoderlario) will be working a 9-5 office job which she hates, however a tragedy will cause her to re-evaluate what’s important in her life. She’ll also be living with good friend Naomi (Lily Loveless). Kathryn Prescott will be reprising her role as Emily, however it is not yet known the nature of her role, whether she is still in a relationship with Naomi or not?
Skins series 7 will air July this year, are you excited to see what the seventh and final series has in store? How do you think the characters will approach adulthood? Let us know your thoughts!!
