Disney is hoping to charm the Broadway world once again by bringing the 1992 animated musical movie hit Aladdin to the stage in 2014.
Right now we don’t know about the stage adaption of this piece of nostalgia. However, according to the website that Disney set up for the musical, it will be coming to the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York.
Aladdin will being joining the ranks of Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Tarzan, Newsies and Mary Poppins as Disney movies turned into full length Broadway musicals. The New Amsterdam Theatre is currently presenting Disney’s Mary Poppins musical adaption.
