Alanis Morissette’s breakthrough album, Jagged Little Pill, turned 20 this year. To help celebrate, the artist and Rhino Records have announced a four-disc “Collector’s Edition” scheduled to be released on October 30.
The special release includes the original album, a second disc of previously unreleased demos, a previously unreleased concert from 1995, and an acoustic copy recorded in 2005. The booklet will include reflective essays from Morissette about her rise to fame.
The four-disc “Collector’s Edition” is limited to 30,000 copies worldwide, but a two-disc “Deluxe Edition,” containing the remastered copy of the album and the previously unreleased demos, will be widely available.
It’s been a big week for the Canadian singer. She joined Taylor Swift on stage in LA on Monday (August 24) for a duet of “You Oughta Know.” Swift introduced her as someone who “defined the generation of female songwriters” and, most importantly, as someone who “taught us you could get really, really mad if you wanted to.”
Morissette was also recently interviewed by Women’s Health and spoke openly about her battles with eating disorders.
