After being absent for a while and parting ways with her label, Alexandra Burke is now making a comeback to the scene. With a studio album on the way, the X Factor winning songstress is now preparing to release a brand-new EP and has now premiered the title track, “Renegade”.

The track serves as something totally different from what Alexandra Burke has delivered so far. Even though it stays true to her urban nature, she goes all-in and rides that hard-hitting beat. However, it’s not all pounding beats and sass, as you can hear every single instrument in the production of “Renegade”. Not only are her vocals on point, but so is her attitude. With some finger-snapping and repetition in hand, the song manages to be greatly infectious. For the time being, the song is also available as a free download and you should totally get it.

The songstress’ brand-new extended play, Renegade, comes a couple of years after her last one, titled #NewRules. The set is scheduled to come out on April 27 and will consist of six tracks in total, with an official press release revealing more details. If the title track is anything to judge from, Alexandra Burke is coming back with an urban sound that hits much harder, even though she’s looking to sing her heart out in a soulful way on her next, full-length record.
