All Female ‘Ink Master’ Spinoff Episode To Be Its Own Series

‘Ink Master’ aired a spinoff episode called ‘Ink Master: Angels’. Now, Spike is turning the female contestant driven idea into its own series.

Back in March, Ink Master aired a spinoff episode called Ink Master: Angels. Now, Spike is turning the female contestant driven idea into its own series.

Ink Master: Angels

Ten episodes have been ordered for Ink Master: Angels which is to air in 2018. The series will feature four female contestants from season eight: Ryan Ashley, Kelly Dotty, Nikki Simpson, and Gia Rose. Together, they will travel the country and compete head-to-head with America’s most talented tattoo artists. “The fan-favorite females of season eight will add a new voice to the franchise and help us discover the best artists around the country,” said Chachi Senior, senior vice president of alternative programming and development for Spike.

“The franchise has shown such amazing growth with our female audience that it is a natural progression to launch a female-fronted standalone competition, as well,” added Senior.

The winner of Ink Master: Angels will earn a spot on season 10 of Ink Master premiering in 2018. In the meantime, Spike will be airing Ink Master season 9 (starting June 6th), and another spinoff series titled Ink Master: Redemption.

Ink Master season 10 will be aired on the rebranded Paramount Network, a replacement for Spike. The new network is set to include programs from Viacom’s other channels, such as CMT and TV Land.

“As the ‘Ink Master’ franchise continues to grow, we are thrilled to work with Ryan Ashley, Kelly Doty, Nikki Simpson and Gia Rose on ‘Ink Master: Angels,’” said Senior. He also stated that he is “so pleased to see ‘Ink Master’ reach a milestone tenth season as it continues to be a great ratings drive for the network.”

Ink Master, Ink Master: Angels, and Ink Master: Redemption are produced for Spike by Truly Original. The company is a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America.
