All Hail The Queen In This Hilarious New Yorker Satire!

If you weren’t aware of it already, Queen Elizabeth is pretty damn cool. What did she do this time, you ask? Well, as you already know, the queen officially okayed gay marriage today, which is more than one could say of many of our own politicians here in the US. In fact, one satirist took to his blog today to pen a hilarious piece for The New Yorker on that very subject.

Andy Borowitz took the news of Queen Elizabeth’s approval of gay marriage to launch some choice hits at New Jersey’s own Governor Chris Christie.
“I don’t like to badmouth people, but I’m the head of a monarchy that began in the ninth century, and I’m apparently more modern than Chris Christie.” Oh, ouch! As if that weren’t enough of a verbal evisceration, “the Queen” went on to say, “Look, I know he has to appeal to the crazy right wingers in his party, but the fact is, he’s not as forward-thinking as an eighty-seven-year-old lady who wears a crown on her head. It’s pathetic.”
It may not have come from the real Queen Elizabeth. Still would you like some ice for that royal burn, Governor?
