I previously told you about an alleged meeting with Bynes, Jean and record company CEO Dan Herman in regards to a brainstorming session for an upcoming album; however, according to reps for Jean, that meeting never took place.
What hopes we had for collaboration between Amanda Bynes and rapper Wyclef Jean for her alleged rap deal with Chinga Chang Records it looks like we were fed a bone because not only did it not take place, but it appears that it never will. According to The Huffington Post, “Jean’s team reportedly told TMZ that the producer and rapper haven’t spoken to Bynes about collaborating, nor has any plans to do so.”
Amanda herself took to her favorite method of communication, Twitter, and had this to say, “I never spoke to anyone at Chinga Chang Records. I got an offer for a bigger record deal that I’m taking as soon I get my surgeries!”
I reached out to a rep from Chinga Chang for clarification on the story, but have yet to hear back from anyone. Honestly, I’m just not sure what to believe anymore!
