Today another Glee star speaks out on the death of Cory Monteith.
Amber Riley took to her twitter today to remember the star who died suddenly last week, “Yesterday I got to sit with my Glee family and remember a man I considered a brother and friend. With a very heavy heart, RIP Cory Monteith. Continue prayer for his family and Lea. Sendings hugs to all you gleeks.”
Amber has been on hiatus since Saturday, telling the world she was “logging off” after tweeting, “Heart is heavy right now for the Martin Family, oh my goodness.”
After a noticeable absence from the media, many of the Glee stars are now releasing statements to the press, or via social media, regarding the loss of their cast mate and friend. They are also offering their thanks and appreciation for the outpouring of support from fans.
The New York Post is reporting that a memorial service has been planned for this Friday by close friends of the fallen star, "It’s at his house," Monteith’s LA neighbor told In Touch. “The invite was informal – just a Facebook message telling us to come to the house.”
"Everyone is going to tell funny stories and bring photos," said the source, who said that many of Monteith’s closest confidantes will attend.
