With the season premiere yesterday, we still wonder why show runner Ryan Murphy and FX have decided to keep season six of the show a complete secret.
"The show is in its sixth season, and we've always done everything by the book," Murphy told THR about the series, co-created by Brad Falchuck. "We wanted to [create a] different experience for the fans this year."
That is a different experience, indeed -- we do not know much about this upcoming season; however, it does follow previous seasons Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, and last season's Hotel.
In result of this new experience for the season, the direction resulted in a collaborative effort between Murphy and FX Head of Marketing Stephanie Gibbons. The duo launched clips ranging between five-thirty seconds to keep fans guessing for the season. Gibson has even told THR that she has never done anything like this before.
What we do know about the season, however, is that Murphy has recruited former Glee alum Jacob Artist to the cast. Artist revealed his role on the show Monday via social media but didn't say much as to what Season 6 has to offer fans of the show. Nothing is known about Artist's role on the show other than it is "very top secret". Artist joins the cast, which includes AHS vets Sarah Paulson, Lady Gaga, Cheyenne Jackson and Angela Bassett.
Artist isn't the only Glee alum to return to work with Ryan. Darren Criss checked in twice on last season's Hotel.
Artist's previous credits include Quantico, Melissa & Joey and How To Rock.
Don't forget to watch American Horror Story Wednesday nights on FX.
