New Belgian artist Amery is ready to take on the world by storm with his debut single.

Amery fell in love with music at an early age when he discovered Michael Jackson on MTV. This discovery gave his Grandmother the idea to gift him an African Drum. That gift soon ignited a spark that quickly grew to love music, and he later went on to play piano at church.

Soon after, Amery realized that music was in his blood. He gathered the courage to upload a Rihanna cover to SoundCloud and it received great feedback and reviews. His musical inspirations include John Legend, Beyonce, Stevie Wonder, and Usher. After Graduation, he listened to his inner voice and focused on music exclusively.

 Since then Amery has crossed paths with W!G music where he got a chance to work with an outstanding team to develop him as an artist. In his time working with producer James Lowland he created his debut single, “So Good”

“This song is reminiscent of a high school memory,” he said. “I had just moved to a different school and saw that girl. I was so shy at the time and just really scared to talk to any girls because I had lost faith in love following a difficult breakup. My friends had to go and ask for her number! As it turned out, she was interested in me as much as I was in her. We started dating and I suddenly felt like I was brought back to life. With So Good, I want people to get back to that feeling they experienced when they met their first crush or love of their life. I want to bring them back to where it all started.”

I get major Stevie Wonder vibes from this single. His vocals are perfection, and I can picture the story he is trying to tell through the song because of its vivid imagery. The mix of vocals with the style is excellent, and it makes me want to get up and dance around the room. If you enjoy songs that are centerted on a narrative, then this song if for you. “So Good” will absolutely be on my summer playlist.
