An Analysis of Ryan Murphy's Last Twitter Q&A!

Whenever Ryan Murphy announces he’s doing a twitter Q&A, I am always hit with simultaneous waves of excitement and trepidation. Excitement as there’s always some great news and spoilers about upcoming episodes and projects he’s working on but also trepidation as he often comes online to justify certain plotpoints. So when he tweeted that he’d be doing a live Q&A during this week’s ‘Naked’ episode I wondered what we were going to be in store for.

In terms of Ryan Murphy Q&As it was pretty tame with no major shocks emerging. He covered a lot of the cast and their storylines without delving too much into any particular one and generally confirmed a number of rumours that have been circulating for a few weeks. Here’s a rundown of what we uncovered:

It appears that Santana (Naya Rivera) is definitely moving to NYC. Ryan told fans that he ‘loves’ the idea of Santana living with Kurt (Chris Colfer) and Rachel (Lea Michele) in NYC (wouldn’t that get a bit crowded in their loft with Brody (Dean Geyer) moving in too???? ) and he ‘likes the idea’ of Kurt and Santana being besties in NYC.

Naturally after his début in last week’s ‘Sadie Hawkins’ a number of fans had questions about Kurt’s new love interest Adam (Oliver Kieran-Jones), and his NYADA Glee Club, Adam and the Apples. However, all Ryan divulged was that he liked the idea of a future Kadam duet.

The majority of answers revolved around the McKinley storylines and this is where we got the most new information. What most Gleeks will be talking about following the Q&A is the confirmed sexuality of a number of characters and their love lives and antics. What we know is that Ryder (Blake Jenner) is 100% straight, Quinntana are definitely sharing a kiss and, to the heartbreak of Blam fans around the world, it’s ‘not gonna happen’ that Sam (Chord Overstreet) is gay and Blaine (Darren Criss) is never going to make a move on him. Ryan confirmed that Artie (Kevin McHale) would get a love interest in the wedding episode (spoilers were earlier released that this is Betty, played by season 2 of The Glee Project’s Ali Stroker).

Other little tidbits we were told includes that Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Ryder both have big storylines coming up and Ryder’s is ’scary and good’, there will be a storyline about Brittany (Heather Morris) graduating, Finn (Cory Monteith) has some solos coming up, a Backstreet Boys song will feature in an upcoming episode and to the collective sigh from all Finchel fans, Ryan is ‘always on #TeamFinchel’. (COMING SOON!) (COMING SOON!)
