Harrison Ford played an anchorman and he liked it! The 70-year old actor, has just signed on to star in the sequel to Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy alongside returnees Will Ferrell, Christina Applegate, Steve Carrell, Paul Rudd, and David Koechner. He previously played a news anchor in the 2010 comedy Morning Glory with Rachel McAdams and by the looks of it, he’s giving newscasting another shot.
Ford is set to play a ‘legendary newscaster’ in the sequel. We’re excited to see his character go head to head with Ferrell’s Burgundy. Is it too much to ask for another epic newscaster battle? This time, perhaps in the streets of The Big Apple? While Anchorman 2’s plot is not yet revealed, we do know that the characters will be changing settings – moving from San Diego to New York.
The film, directed by Adam McKay and produced by Judd Apatow and Kevin Messick, is expected to hit theaters in December of this year.
Anchorman 2 is shaping up to be quite the sequel! Will you be checking it out?
