The HBO series Girls has been a hit among many viewers for two seasons, garnering several awards including a few Primetime Emmys. But not everyone is impressed by Lena Dunham’s work.

Cedar Cove star Andie MacDowell probably won’t be tuning in for the 3rd season come the January premiere. In an interview with Ad Week, MacDowell revealed that she doesn’t watch much television. However, she did catch the first season of Girls with her two daughters.

MacDowell, who starred in the 1989 film Sex, Lies, and Videotape, may think the show is interesting, but she wasn’t too pleased with what she watched.  “It was too immature for me—but it was interesting. I’m going to sound like an ancient person, but I was rather shocked at what they can show on TV now!” Let’s just say there is a lot of sex, lies, violence, and adult content everywhere!

She may not be a fan of Girls, but she seems to be a fan of anther HBO series: The Newsroom. She’s also disappointed in the today’s news outlets, “I wish there was a news channel that really told you what was going on in the world, not just sensationalized news,” she explained.

For the viewers who do love Girls, you can expect to see your four favorite twenty-something New York girls on January 12, 2014 when the series returns with its third season!
