Andrew Smith Is A “Magic Mess” In New Single

“This song is really about people who applaud you for being you…”

New York based singer/songwriter Andrew Smith grew up performing in theater and even wrote short films as a teen, while his time at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music unleashed his love for song-writing. Music became a therapeutic outlet for Andrew Smith, often comforting him during hardships and emotional upheaval. He creates honest releases all about self-discovery, overcoming mental health issues, and navigating perplexing circumstances on the way to self-acceptance and today, PopWrapped are delighted to premiere his new upbeat sparking alt pop banger “Magic Mess.”

The song sees Andrew give thanks to all of those that have encouraged him along the way and he says of those people and the track: “I had so many beautiful people cheering for me as I fell on my face. They dusted me off again and again. This song is really about people who applaud you for being you. I’ve always been a very clean-cut person, and the song is also about leaning into your wrinkles, messing up your hair, choosing the t-shirt over the tie. Sometimes when we are overworked, tired and filled with anxiety, those loved ones around us bring us up and remind us how worthy we truly are.”

The energetic indie pop single, written by Andrew together with producers Jackson Hoffman and Ryder Stuart, features soaring colorful synths, a memorable infectious chorus, and sparkling guitar riffs – it’s the kind of song that makes you want to dance around the room, sing loud and embrace all the craziness in life.
