Andy Samberg Goes Cycling In Tour De Pharmacy Trailer

Tour de Pharmacy, starring Andy Samberg, is set to air on HBO this summer, and the newly released trailer is hilarious and filled with celeb cameos.

Andy Samberg is taking his finely honed mockumentary skills to the world of professional cycling. Tour de Pharmacy is set to air on HBO this summer, and the newly released trailer is jam-packed with outrageous cameo appearances, insane ’80s hair, and lots and lots of multicolored spandex.

Set around the 1982 Tour de France cycling event, the trailer features a mix of talking heads and cyclists remembering the tense days of competition—and all the doping. Orlando Bloom looks to have a hilarious turn as a bleached-blond-goateed rider: “How do you beat a man on drugs if you not on drugs?” The trailer also reveals a host of cameos from other stars, including John Cena, Maya Rudolph, Dolph Lundgren, Mike Tyson, Julia Ormond, J.J. Abrams, Phylicia Rashad, Will Forte, Daveed Diggs, Jeff Goldblum, and more.

And then there’s the wildest and most apropos cameo of them all: the “anonymous informant”. Lance Armstrong looks to be enjoying his tongue-in-cheek role, and the bit scrambling his voice while still showing his face is spot-on.

Tour de Pharmacy isn’t Samberg’s first foray into the sports mockumentary arena. In 2015, also on HBO, he starred in 7 Days in Hell with Kit Harington about two rival tennis players who compete in the longest-ever tennis match in history (7 days long, of course). The next year, in 2016, Samberg teamed up with his Lonely Island bandmates, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, in the big screen release, Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping. Also in the ridiculously funny mock-docudrama style, the movie follows the highs and lows of life for Conner 4 Real (Samberg) after he ditches the Style Boyz and goes solo.

Tour de Pharmacy is scheduled to premiere on HBO on July 8, right in the middle of the real Tour de France. Check out the trailer below:
