Nickelodeon alum Ariana Grande debuted her first album, Yours Truly, on September 2 and has since climbed to number one debut album on the US Billboard Charts. Her album has sold more than one 100,000 copies since its debut and is the first female album to debut at Number One since Ke$ha in 2010.
Yours Truly has twelve tracks with four feature artists; including Mac Miller in her first single “The Way”. Not only has she released two singles for the album, with adjoining music videos but she was also flash mobbed by previous America Idol contestant Todrick Hall to a mash up of her album’s songs, her own brother made an appearance in it as well.

Ariana Grande co-wrote half the tracks on the album with co-star Leon Thomas from Victorious. The musical style of the album is a reminiscent to early pop and R&B music. Grande says that the album captures some of her most important moments in her life as well as her relationships.
