As most of you know, Arrested Development is a sitcom created my Mitchell Hurwitz following the Bluth family. The show which aired on Fox for 3 seasons starting in 2003 chronicled the dysfunctional family, and due to low ratings, was canceled in 2006 despite widespread critical acclaim. The show has since gone on to earn a comedy cult following.

Netflix was quick to jump at the chance to pick up the show, and they couldn’t be more excited! Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer of Netflix, expressed his excitement in a statement ”Arrested Development is now widely viewed as one of the top TV comedies of all time, and

Mitch Hurwitz

is bringing it to Netflix in a brand new way, crafted for the on-demand generation that has come to discover the show in the years since it last appeared on TV. The highly anticipated return of this show is sure to make history all over again.”

The entire cast has returned for the new season not to mention some big time guest stars! Liza Minnelli will return as well as Carl Weathers but we will see some new additions. Be on the lookout for Seth Rogan, Kristin Wiig, and Isla Fisher!  I seriously cannot wait!
