Ah clearly the boy bands of today know that they need to pay homage to their roots.
Recently, at a concert in Sweden, British boy band, One Direction performed a cover of, the 90’s American boy band, the Backstreet Boys classic “I Want It That Way”.

How do the elder statesmen of the Backstreet Boys feel about the young upstarts One Direction’s cover? Well they liked it.
In a interview with MTV Backstreet Boys member Howie Dorough said: “I think they did a good job on it. One of the writers, that’s written almost all their big stuff, Rami Yacoub, he worked with us in the early days with Max Martin and stuff like that, some of the biggest songs of ours. “
The band actually think it’s pretty cool that people are paying homage to them.
