Music unites people; it’s one of those things that does so on a scale and in a way that little else can. It brings together people from all corners of the world, from towns and cities, and in the case of Band Of Silver, it brings siblings together too. The pop rock trio from Nashville – with a sound that blends classic rock, modern pop and 80’s new wave – have already earned themselves a considerable following and support from several outlets thanks to their electric live performances, and now that support and following looks set to grow even further and stronger with the release of their new single “Undertow”, the video for which PopWrapped are delighted to premiere.
Many of Band Of Silver’s songs showcase their impressive ability to address issues and moments that can and do affect so many of us throughout our lives; disappointment and heartbreak being two of them, but the lyrics also hum with hope and perseverance; they truly are a band that make music with meaning; songs that just like the band themselves, refuse to give up when things – no matter what they might be – get tough and look towards a better, brighter and more optimistic future.
The band refer to “Undertow” as their darkest song, adding that it is “.. about getting involved in a situation that on the surface seems like a good idea, but unexpectedly becomes a major source of stress. Whether it’s a relationship turned toxic, a job or opportunity that is not as glamorous as it seemed, or a good deed that only generates bad karma, there are many currents in life that can pull you under. The one I wrote the song about was a blend of all of the above.”
