If you are fan of The Big Bang Theory’s theme song, this news will excite you. Barenaked Ladies, the band responsible for that amazing theme song along with the hits “One Week” and “Pinch Me” have signed with Vanguard Records recently. That label is home to John Fogerty and Matt Nathanson among others.

Their first album on that label and (12th overall effort) is due out June 4, which marks the anniversary of the Canadian band. The band is made up of guitarist and frontman Ed Robertson, bassist Jim Creeggan, keyboardist Kevin Hearn, and drummer Tyler Stewart.

The still untitled album was recorded in Toronto. The band teamed up with producers Gavin Brown who worked with The Tragically Hip and Metric, Howie Beck who has worked with Feist and Josh Rouse, and Mark Endert who worked with both Maroon 5 and Train.

The album’s release will coincide with the second leg of the Last Summer on Earth Tour. That tour features co-headliners Ben Folds Five and Guster. The tour nearly sold out its first run in 2012. This leg of the tour will hit 30 arenas and amphitheaters and kicks off in Dallas, TX on June 17.

Concert goers can purchase tickets for the tour on March 19 and will receive a voucher for Barenaked Ladies’ new album.
